Posting Guidelines: 2025
May. 14th, 2025 10:34 amWhen you have finished your story, please post it to the community. Use the following template when posting your entry:
Title:
Author:
Prompt:
Fandoms:
Word count: (If it's not fic, put what kind of media it is here.)
Rating: (You must put something in this space. You must give a rating; you may use the AO3's ratings, Fanfiction.net's ratings, or any standardized movie rating system. Cutesy answers will not be accepted.)
Contents: (You must put something in this space. You must warn if your story contains major character death, graphic violence, and/or non-con. Blackout warnings are acceptable. If your story has no warnings, write "no warnings needed." Anything else is up to you.)
Optionally, you can also include author's notes, a disclaimer, characters/pairings, or a summary.
After your headers, you should either link to your creation on another site or paste it directly into the entry (if you do this, you must use a cut tag). If your story is too big to fit into one entry, do not post multiple entries to the community. Post elsewhere and link to the parts.
Do not tag your post. We will tag your post.
Your post should look something like this:
This community is on moderated posting. Your entry will be checked over by a moderator before being posted. If there is a problem with your submission, we will reject it and give you an explanation. This does not mean we have kicked you out of the challenge. It means you should fix whatever's wrong and resubmit. (Doublecheck your headers! That's usually the source of any problems!)
In addition to (read: not in place of) posting your work to the community, we also strongly encourage you to add it to our collection at the AO3. To add your story to the collection, follow the steps in this tutorial. Our collection is here; the collection name is intoabar. The collection is also moderated. Any work produced for the ficathon will be approved when submitted.
You must post by 11:59PM EDT, Sunday, June 29.
If you do not post by the deadline, you may post in the late posting period, which begins as soon the masterlist goes up.

Admin Post: So You Want to Write a Franchise or Adaptation
Apr. 17th, 2020 09:25 amIf you want to write a franchise, you've come to the right place!
Here you can find both general guidelines as to how we determine what makes a fandom for the purposes of putting in one of your six fandom slots, as well as some specific examples. Keep in mind that although you can have multiple branches of a franchise as fandom selections to be chosen, none of the six can be in the same franchise as your chosen character, even if they are in parts of a franchise that aren't directly connected. (For example, if you decide that Peter Quill is going into the bar, you can't have Agents of SHIELD as one of your six fandoms, even though Peter's never met anyone from said series.)
